I finished my Moab 1/2 marathon, but not quite in the time I had hoped for. My goal time was somewhere around 1h. 45-50min., my actual time was 2 hours 10 minutes and some change. I'm only a little disappointed (as apposed to a lot disappointed) because on Friday, the day before the race, I hurt my back stopping rachel from running out into the street. This act (or similar; ie running away at the store or running away after stealing Ashlin's toy) is something I perform at least 10 times a day, and I am still not sure how I managed to hurt it, but I did. So race day it was feeling a lot better, but it BURNED the whole race.
So, I need to redeem myself... who wants to run with me? I need one more 1/2 marathon this summer... it's only 13.1 miles...

Good job on your race--your time is great! We were wondering how it turned out and if your back was feeling good enough to run. Sounds like you did a great job, in spite of the pain and the burn and the lack of friends accompanying you. I might be game for a race NEXT summer! :)
Wow, I'm impressed, pretty sure I could never run that far let alone walk it. Good luck with the next one.
I'm doing a half marathon this summer, but there is no way that I could keep up with you, Speedracer!
Pick the date - I will do it!
GO Jenae!! That is seriously awesome, and especially so with a hurt back!
P.S. I miss our running/waddling days around the Springville High track :)
You know I don't run.
Count me in (just kidding)! I am so proud of you. Hope your back heals quickly. I hope to someday be able to watch you run. Grandma and Grandpa were proud of you. My cousin Danette would have been on the lookout for you if she had known you were running. If I had known she was volunteering, I would have told you to look for her. I love you! Mom
Despite what you say, you did a GREAT job! Remember when we ran the half marathon in Provo and you had bronchitis? You're crazy! And you still beat me. Hahahaha.
a little disappointed?!?!?!? Are you kidding? That is awesome! You are awesome!
What is with this ambition and competitive spirit Jenae? You are a Martin! I think you did awesome, fyi, and I am going to go running in 12 minutes because of you!
Why haven't you commented on my blog yet?
Still waiting...
and waiting
conference is over, still waiting...
Jenae! What do you think they would do if I flew up to visit you this summer 9months preggo and ran the race with you? It would make you look pretty fast! HAHA.
I am very impressed with you! I don't think I could even get close to finishing one...even not pregnant!
i chase my 18 month old benjamin at least 10 times a day too! will they make it out of childhood? too bad about the race, nothing is more disappointing than training hard and having an injury interfere. i bet your next race will be awesome!
