She held Brett's hand as she looked adoringly up at him. And then said, "Mommy take a picture. Daddy, smile, ok?"
Afterward I told Ashlin that Mommy was married to Daddy. She asked me where we got married, and if we were living "Happy ever after."
As proof of my complaining... this picture was taken last week!!
I was about to post a "Dear Utah, thank you for the beautiful weather" yesterday, but it started to SNOW AGAIN!!! That's right, it was April 26th and it was SNOWING. It didn't stick, but still.

Hallelujah! That was a really cute post. And sorry about the snow - nice and warm here, although as Jerry so aptly pointed out, better not move to KY as it will ruin your life.
Jenae! That is so stinking cute! Thank you for sharing :) Sorry about the snow...it has been in the 70s and 80s the last 2 weeks here in TX! But don't worry you will be loving the days in July while I am fat in the 110 degree weather!
I'm so sorry! I don't want to rub anything in but my legs and arms are totally sun-burned from the 85 degree weather we had over the weekend that is still lingering on. I suppose you oughta come visit! Miss you!
Ahhhh! How sweet. Ashlin's first love is her Daddy! That's how it is supposed to be. (Of course, others may have a hard time measuring up in the future). About the cold---we are having a cold spell here in Texas too. I think it has been in the 70s and 80s here (brrr.)
Where's a new blog?
It's up the hill and to the right,
Where's a new blog?
We'll never find it in the night
A blog!
A blog!
A blog A blog A BLOOOOOOOG!
and yes, I know I am a hypocrite and cheater because I posted right before nagging you for a new one...
Ok, Jenae... Here's one for you.
Brett was about 9 or 10 years old and we lived in Steamboat, Colo. out the Elk River Road. The kids were all sick with something and I think I had come down with Cabin Fever, too. I made an entry in my journal that the snow in our back yard was level with the trampoline and the date was April 18th. I have proof - in my journal!! Steamboat was beautiful white in the winter. A winter wonderland! But a lot of work to haul firewood and shovel snow, even off the rooftops. Ski Town USA! 16 years up there...I know Brett's told you. Heaven in the Summer, though! You get used to where you live, I've decided. And every place has it's trade-offs. Besides, you did say you liked to shovel a little snow. I know, just not in April!!!!! Hear! Hear! Those people down wind keep praying for us to get more snow! XO
Ashlin has a super-duper Daddy!!!!
Rachel, are you learning to dance, too? Or, maybe you'll play the piano like Daddy. Love you Rachel!!
