A little catch up..

A lot has been going on around our house that I just haven't been posting, so I thought I would do a random post with lots of "what would have been posts if I wasn't a slacker!" Beware... it's long!

My parents, now President and Sister Martin.



They became Mission Presidents of the California, San Fernando mission. They are both English and Spanish speaking. It was so neat to go to the Church Admin. Building for their setting apart. We were waiting in the lobby for about 20 min. (b/c us martin's are always early!) waiting and we saw a lot of General Authorities coming and going.

We had Adam stay with us for a whole week while my parents were in the MTC.
We celebrated his Birthday at the Brick Oven.



My mom whipped up these adorable outfits for the girls finishing them literally as we were out the door to Brick Oven. Rachel wouldn't leave until she had hers on! Needless to say, they are a big hit in our house. Rachel says, "Grandma made it just for me!"

The return of the Supervisor!
All while Brett and I dated, and even after we were married, Brett was an Intramural Supervisor. Our friends Berkley and Meredith came and visited on their way to settle in their new life as a dentist. They got dressed up in their old supervisor shirts and headed down to visit with Phil. They always try to pull a prank on whoever is the secretary in the office. This time they scored an Intramural Champion Shirt.

Ashlin set up beds for all of us to sleep on one night. She was so excited, put forth so much effort to overcome all the "problems" Brett and I tried to throw at her so we didn't have to sleep on the floor, that we didn't have the heart to tell her no. But this was during the NBA finals, so Brett begged (yes he really did beg) Ashlin if he could stay downstairs and finish the game. After about 2 minutes, Ashlin told me she was going to go check on Daddy to make sure he wasn't scared downstairs all by himself. After 10 minutes of her being gone I couldn't figure out why I was STILL laying on the floor trying to go to sleep. So I abandoned to my bed.



This picture makes me giggle because Brett took the girls with him to Vernal on one of his trips, and this is what he brought for Rachel to wear.... Ashlin's pants and shirt. He claims he put her in the car when she was still asleep so he decided to leave her in her pjs and bring clothes.
