"Optimus Primer"

I just have to give a shout out to my wonderful husband!! Today he earned the nickname Optimus Primer. We are finishing our basement and the drywall was finished yesterday (yeah!). So today Brett and I planned on putting on the primer coat before we painted. We started on the ceiling and after about 30 min, my arms were dead, so I started on the walls. After about 1 hour, my hands and arms were screaming at me. So I "took a break" to make us lunch and it ended up lasting the rest of day, but Brett never stopped. I asked him how he could keep going, and his response was "I guess I am a robot" to which I responded, "yeah, you are "Optimus Primer"

As a side note, I was planning on including pictures of our progress thus far, but Rachel broke my new camera!! Ok, so it wasn't brand new, but it is less than a year old. This is our third camera (all three have been broken to the point they are more expensive to fix than to buy a new one). And all three meet their end due to someone pushing the lens back in. Brett said it might be a good idea to try a different type of camera, because those don't seem to be working for us.

I am so sorry mom and dad for all and any of the things I may have broken of yours. As I was debating on how to handle Rachel, I kept thinking of a duck I broke of my moms. I now understand how frustrating is is when someone breaks something of yours after you have repeated told them they are not to play with it.

haha - don't remember the duck Jenae, but I DO remember a few broken windows due to soccer balls...didn't understand back them why mom and dad were upset (to their credit, they newer were angry at us, we could just tell it was below the surface). Now I get it!

And Brett, aren't you glad you have such a punny wife? And thanks for priming my basement!

Soooo funny (Brett's new nick name). Sorry, Brett--we tried to instill good work ethic in our kids. I don't remember the duck either. I just remember that some of my kids would clean up their "messes" very thoroughly and then a few days or weeks later I would discover that a vase or piece of china was missing from the inventory.
