Random... Trip to Vernal and Ashlin's first day of 1st Grade!

I have been a HORRIBLE blogger lately!! My main goal in keeping a blog is be my journal since I have never been a diligent journal writer. Ashlin has decided to start a journal, and so I gave her the one I started for her when she was a baby, and much to my horror, my last entry for her was at her 6 month appointment! Anyway, I am going to really try to be better because Ashlin loved hearing her stories of when she was a baby.

The thought of catching up on everything I have missed the last year is a little overwhelming, so I am just starting in July and only what I have pictures of which isn't a whole lot.

Tea Party at Grandma's house! All the men and boys went for a manly walk about while the women stayed for a tea party complete with silly hats.

Ashlin LOVES getting into Little Lilly's crib and play with her. The feeling is mutual from Lilly.

But not so much when Rachel gets in.

Lilly still a little nervous.

Both Ashlin and Rachel love to take pictures of me. Here is one of like 100 they take every month!

Rachel lived in her swimming suit this summer. Didn't matter if we were swimming or not. She wore this thing riding bikes, playing soccer, going to the store (with a cover up) and during her jam sessions.

The Hawkins stayed at Hotel Boren during their trip, and one night the kids got hold of a cookbook with lots of fun creative snacks for Halloween, and wanted to make one. Lucky for Shauni and I, the kids picked the easiest one to do!

Mummies in July!! Super Scary.

Here is Lilly at a little over 6 months.

Crawling all over the place.

Lilly came with me on a trip to Texas for my friend, Nikki's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony, and as always Nikki looked amazing and radiant!

Lilly and I had a BLAST!! Adam flew down the same time. So we hung out with Jerry and his new wife Sara, Justin and Kara, and Adam. Lilly and I got to relax a lot, and I finished the book The Help. I honestly think Lilly had as much fun getting a break from her sisters as I did. We still need to have that donut/ koloche blind taste test.

I got to see my friends from my Plano days who I always love to hang out with. I got to meet Jocelyn's cutest new addition to her and Philip's family - Joel. He is a sweetheart, and Levi has grown up so much since I last saw him.

My high school 10 year reunion was August 20th. I can't believe it has been 10 years already! I loved high school and everything that went with it! I was sad to have to miss it, but 2 trips to Texas was just too much.

Max who lives 2 doors down also broke is arm on the same playground/monkey bars as Ashlin so we had to get a broken arm buddy pictures!! Max got his hard cast on about the same time Ash got hers taken off... so they weren't broken arm buddies for very long.

Here is Lilly at 7 months. This is how I find her every morning. Happy and standing.

First day of School!! Ashlin is a 1st grader!! I woke up this morning and looked at brett and said, "We have a 1st grader" like 10 times, I just can't believe it.

Here is our "just in case they really do get married" picture. =) Ashlin and her friend Johnny. Ashlin this year is saying that she doesn't want to marry Johnny anymore because she is too young to think about things like that. But he still has the coolest backpack she thinks.

And finally, I leave you with this cute picture of how I found Brett and Rachel the other night.

I am so sad that I wasn't there this summer. It took me a moment to realize why I hadn't seen that suit on Rachel - I wasn't there! Oh the terribleness.
I adore the new family picture. So, so cute. And the girls all have perfect hair. Miss you tons!
