Partners in Crime

Today, Brett caught Ashlin and Rachel in their bathroom flushing the toilet repeatedly. Later, Brett notices the girls had also removed both lenses from his glasses, but could only find one. So, while I was helping look for the missing lens and retracing the path I thought the girls took, I came across a draw in our bathroom that contains Q-tips and those plastic single use flossers, only now the drawer was empty with nothing in site. I pulled Ashlin in and asked if she knew where the stuff that was in that drawer went. She replied very matter-of-factly, "oh yeah, they're in the potty!" Suddenly the image of both girls flushing the toilet came back into my mind... and sure enough... it is clogged!! We still haven't found the lens, so that might have gotten flushed too.

This is just a funny picture of Rachel when she woke up from her nap with a bloody nose. She was in her crib with her head turned from me and she was kindof playing, then she turned and looked at me with a huge smile and blood all over her. It startled me at first because it seemed like so much blood from nowhere.

They sure are cute criminals.

We spend so much time hoping that our kids will play together, but when they do we (at least I) seriously rethink those thoughts for occasions just like yours!

Now that you're outnumbered and they know it--good luck.

How funny, well I guess maybe not but how fun that they are such good friends and so cute.

Of course...the potty, 'cuz that's where Q-tips and flossers go...hopefully not the lens though! Ashlin looks so cute with her "ponies" (as Grace would say). We had so much fun last week, thanks again for the ride!

Haha - this was so funny Jenae! Thanks for posting. And your girls are adorable. And have you specifically forbidden them to flush q-tips and flossers and lenses down the toilet? Didn't think so. I pronounce them innocent of any wrongdoing. And remember, if mom made it through 8 kids without beating any of us, we owe it to her not to beat her grandchildren.

I love it--what a funny story! Doesn't it make you wonder what Ashlin told Rachel in order to bring her in as a partner in crime?! Or maybe it was the other way around?!

That's exactly what i'd expect from a Boren. Although, they sound a lot more fun than you two wet blankets!! I just love that Brett is even more geekier because he's missing a lens from his geek glasses. HAHA!! Love you guys!

That's way funny. Brooklyn did the very same thing last week. I hear her "innocent" little voice from the bathroom say "Mommy, come look what I'm doing!"
