Rachel's Surgery

Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers. Her surgery went great. In fact, they let us go several hours after the surgery because she was jumping on her bed and eating them out of house and home (she was scheduled to stay overnight).

This is before we left her. She was very upset about putting the gown on.

Here is after.

When they first wheeled her to me, she was pretty out of it still. She looked so little compared to the bed she was on. She didn't move an inch when she first saw me, but wouldn't take her eyes off me either. Then, when we got into her room and I sat on her bed, she lunged forward to me and we snuggled for about 30 min. The only time she cried was when she would try to take her IV out and I had to stop her.

Starting to feel more like herself.

Going home. The wagon was more for fun because she was running around before she got in.
