Happy 3rd Birthday Rachel!

Rachel wanted a Strawberry Shortcake party!!

Here is her cake I made her (from scratch!). I have a lot of fun making these cakes, but this one is one of my favorites. It took a lot of arm muscle to dye the fondant the colors I wanted (and half the container of red food coloring to get it to look like an actual red and not pink), but well worth it.

This is the finished cake at like 1 am.

And the cake with the very happy Birthday girl!

Brett volunteering to help taste test fruit dip. Brett, you have a little something on your chin...

The party was a lot of fun, so much fun in fact that I forgot to take pictures! Thanks to all Rachel's uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, and friends for coming to help us celebrate our wonderful Rachel coming to our family!
Brett took some pictures and film that I will add when he uploads those.

Grandma and Grandpa Boren made a special trip to come and spend the day with us. Thank you!

Woowzers! What a cake!!!! What a lucky little girl!!! Two lucky girls! I second Jocelyn's motion. You could earn a living making cakes! Give Rachel a big hug and kiss from her Grandma Gemie!

Wow that is awesome! You are so talented! Hannah wants a Strawberry Shortcake cake for her birthday too even though she had one last year. But I can guarantee it won't look half as good as yours.

You guys host the BEST parties! Love the cake--you really are amazing. Love the Easter pictures as well. The girls are so cute. I just told Abby what Ashlin said about looking like she was 6, and Abby said, "Yeah, she does Mom. She really does look like she's 6." And that's coming from someone who already considers herself an expert on being 6! :)
