I have a brown crib, a green room, and a white dresser w/mirror. Do I:
A) Leave everything how it is and don't worry about it. (This is the option Brett wants)
B) Paint the crib white
C) Paint the crib white and repaint the walls
D) Repaint the walls and leave the furniture
Here are pictures to see what we are dealing with. I also added a pregnancy picture of me as per requests. (I am 26 weeks now- Hurray!) I am feeling GREAT, but nesting terribly.
Rachel needed to be included...

I vote B paint the crib white. Then find bedding that looks cute with the walls the color they are. You are so teeny!!!
I honestly think it would look really cute to paint it all to match. But I must admit, I'm with Brett on this one. But that's only because I'm ridiculously lazy.
I say paint the walls and leave the furniture.
I also think you should paint the crib white :) But...maybe I am biased because we have a white crib and dresser and i love them. I'm sure it will be cute whatever you decide...and you are sooo cute preggo and I agree you look tiny...lots of room in that tall body I guess :)
I spray painted your crib yellow. (I probably asphyxiated you in utero. But it seems no harm was done). I vote to paint the crib white or get a new white crib. Just make sure that the paint is safe for the baby. Is this the same bedroom the girls have been in? Green is such a calm color.
I have heard lead based paints are the safest for young kids. It took me awhile, but I found one in white
So you won't see pictures of Lucy's room on our blog b/c nothing matches and she just loves it that way! I wish everything did, but they don't mainly b/c I'm cheap and probably a little lazy. But if you were to do something, I'd just paint the crib white and leave the walls green, get some pink and green bedding and call it good! It'll be super cute!
Also, yeah for a picture! Although perhaps you could make your pictures a little bigger on your blog if you want so we can really see that belly! :)
it was great talking to you the other day! Miss you!
I vote choice E. Paint the windows and the mirror green. Add leaves to everything. The crib should be camouflaged as well. You can have some of our green carpet and wa la... you have an invisible baby.
I vote for Justin's option as well - an added benefit is when child protective services come, they will find no evidence.
Justin's option is good.
But I think to make her (the baby) truly invisible we will have to get her a camo wardrobe. Camo pj's, camo clothing, camo booties, and camo diapers!
I am laughing outloud at the suggestions by Justin, Alyssa and Kara! :) Sorry, i know I'm chiming in late here...I say paint the wall and leave the furniture. Both your crib and dresser are very nice pieces and I actually like when it doesn't all match. Plus, I think it's much easier to paint walls and have them look good than paint furniture...that's the lazy side of me coming out. You look SO adorable!!! Miss you all!
Let me tell you a story about the crib you and I slept in for those first few precious years of our lives. I chewed and licked the LEAD- based paint (yes..that may explain many things) on that crib until Mom was pregnant with you. She then decided to re-paint for you as they had realized that the hand-me-down crib I was in probably had lead paint.
I guess I have no point to this story other than just a fun historical fact about your life you might not have known.
I say definitely paint the crib white. You could go either way with the walls, but paint the crib white so the room looks cohesive. Not that the baby cares--it's all for you! (And that's important). That said, we bought all of Lily's furniture (now Jack's furniture) on Craigslist with the intention of painting it white, and it took us a whole year to get around to it, but it did get done! Well, except for the glider chair, and it bugs me every time I go in the room. I wish I would have done it before this time last year, so you're good to be on the ball with the baby room!
And you are, once again, the most beautiful pregnant woman out there! Loved the belly shots!
