Justin came home a day after my mom's birthday. For her birthday, the grandkids each got her a princess polly pocket. We aren't sure who liked the gifts more... Grandma or the girls.
Waiting at the airport...
Ryan, Kate, and Ashlin (the only ones there who were old enough to represent all the nieces and nephews) made a special sign for Justin - Kate and Ashlin added the princess stickers they knew their uncle would love. Ryan was sure to note that HIS side of the poster was clean of said stickers.
"Welcome Home Justin" in Hungarian... I think
Yeah!!
We kept asking people if they were coming from Ohio (Justin's flight) and we kept getting no's. Then a lone guy comes out after about a 20 min. of no people coming through and we asked him the same question expecting the same response, but he said yes. We all cheered, and he kindof jumped and then took a bow.
Proud Parents
It was SO warm in Texas (I am so jealous of all you people moving to Texas... I think it might be everyone but me) the kids got to play outside for hours at a time.
I can't believe I am missing so many pictures... I am used to Alyssa's family taking pictures for everyone, but she forgot her battery. Siblings, please send me all your pictures..thanks.
Our return story is long and might be one of the worst days, but we were excited to see Brett. Here are the main events of my return flight/drive home:
Rachel screamed the whole flight
When we were landing, it was snowing and zero visibility (very scary)
Waited an hour at the airport for Brett to get there (stuck in snow related traffic).
He lost the parking ticket and had to pay $25
What should have been a half hour drive... took us 6 hours and when we FINALLY get to our turnoff, they tell us the road is closed and we will have to wait it out.
Luckily I have a very smart husband who knew the ONLY back road into our subdivision.
The next day, we had snow drift 6 feet high against our garage doors.
Luckily Brett was just so happy to see us, nothing else seemed to bother him. I think I would have gone CRAZY driving as slow as we had to from the airport. We had fun the next day playing in the snow
These pictures are actually from a snow storm before we left for Texas. It was the worst I had ever seen until my return from Texas. On this day, Church was actually cancelled (which RARELY happens)
